The Women’s White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA) stands in solidarity with the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community and denounces anti-Asian hate, violence, and racism. We mourn the eight lives lost in the recent shootings in Georgia – including six women of Asian descent. WWCDA condemns these and other attacks on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders happening across the United States, especially in the last year. We cannot stay silent or idle in the face of intolerance and xenophobia aimed toward the AAPI community. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. so eloquently stated, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
WWCDA stands with the many other organizations who have spoken out against the bias and the alarming decay in the rule of law happening across the United States. We re-new the commitment to work together in the pursuit of equality, justice, freedom and the rule of law for all, and to insist that every person be treated equally, fairly and with dignity and humanity. WWCDA is committed to equality and inclusion. WWCDA again asks our community, supporters and other friends to boldly take a stand. Take action by, among other things, learning more about the issues, working to correct injustices, and leading inclusively.
